Is it "my friend and I" or "my friend and me"?
Depends on the slot. My friend and I went… for the subject; for my friend and me for the object.
A little morei
Test it by removing "my friend and" — whatever pronoun works on its own is right. I went to the park → my friend and I went. She saw me → she saw my friend and me. The mistake happens when "I" gets used for politeness regardless of slot.
