Correct as printed — but the line is almost always attributed to John Lennon, Buddha, or anonymous wisdom. It's a screenplay invention by John Hughes.

The quote circulates on posters, mugs, and tattoos with no source. Hughes rarely got credit even when the line was printed verbatim.
