Tendon vs. Ligament
Connects muscle to bone versus connects bone to bone.
The comparisoni
“A torn ligament connecting two bones — tendons attach muscle to bone, ligaments attach bone to bone.”
The ruleii
¶
TENDON = muscle→bone. LIGAMENT = bone→bone.
Both are dense connective tissue. TENDON ties a muscle to a bone (Achilles tendon). LIGAMENT ties one bone to another (ACL is the anterior cruciate ligament). Confused often in sports injuries.
Memory aidiii

Tendon T = transmits force.
